HISTORY OF SURIGAO CITY
PILOT SCHOOL MUSEUM

The construction of the Surigao City Pilot School Museum was put up into reality through the leadership of Mrs. Veronica I. Revecho when she became the school principal of the year 1998 and was completely  finished during the time of Mrs. Luzviminda Q. Edillor who replaced Mrs. Revecho after she transferred to District III as District Supervisor.

When the building was completed, teachers were required to submit antiques of various ranging from kitchen utensils, old pictures, attires, jewelries, coins, bills, jars, and others. Later some owners of antiques retrieved their materials from the museum for personal and sentimental reasons, while some were kept displayed and donated for school.

This museum was admired by former DECS Secretary Andrew Gonzales during his visit in the city of Surigao when he saw the centennial jars.

At present , the Surigao City Pilot School  Museum is open for public viewing for pupils, parents, and visitors.
